have some of the most civic-minded members of the Lakeland community on its
Board, as well as highly qualified banking experts. Representing all aspects of
the Community, the Board of Directors is available to answer any questions you

Antony L. Turbeville is Chairman of the Board. Since 2000, Mr.
Turbeville has been President and CEO of Platinum Financial Planning, Inc.,
located in Lakeland, Florida. He is also a Certified Financial Planner and
President of Brookstone Securities, Inc., a registered Broker-Dealer. His
licenses include the following: Series 6, Series 7, Series 24, Series 63 and a
218 Life, Health & Annuities License. Mr. Turbeville has been in the financial
services field since 1992. He received a double major in Business Administration
and Finance from Troy State University.
Michael A. Micallef, Jr.
is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Community
Southern Bank. Michael has been in the
banking industry for over thirty years. He
received a B.S. degree from St. Peters
College in 1973, an MBA from Fordham
University in 1976, and a Graduate Banking
degree from Brown University in 1979.
From 1986 to 1992 he was CEO of United
Savings in Melbourne, FL. He moved on to
Bank Boynton, FSB in Boynton Beach, FL,
where he served as President and CEO from
1993 to 1997. Michael became President and
CEO of Citizens Community Bank of Marco
Island, FL in 1997 and worked there until
1999. From 1999 to 2003 he served as
President and CEO of Sterling Bank, FSB in
Lantana, FL. Before Michael moved to
Lakeland he was President and CEO of Marco
Community Bank in Marco Island, FL from 2003
to 2005. In 2005 he began working to
establish Community Southern Bank.
Robert W. Andrew is a former bank director and senior executive
officer. From 1976 to 2000, he was Vice President of Imperial Bank of Lakeland
and its successor, First Union National Bank. Prior to that, he was Regional
Vice President of Flagship Bank in Tampa, Florida from 1964 to 1976.
W.R. "Sandy" Fortin
possess
over thirty years of retail experience. He began his career
in 1964 with department store chain Belk-Lindsey. He founded
S&J Sports in September 1993. Mr. Fortin is the Chief
Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Fortin has
successfully grown S&J, the Play It Again Sports franchise,
to the largest and most successful Play It Again Sports
franchisee in the Nation. To date, the Company has over
thirty store locations throughout Florida and generates over
$22 million in annual revenue.
Mr.
Fortin is presently is a board member of the Florida Retail
Federation, in addition to contributing to his community by
serving as Vice President of the Central Florida Development
Council, Chairman of Polk County Sports Marketing, a member
of the Tourist Development Council and Board Member of
Business Voice the PAC of the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce.
Additionally, Mr. Fortin has always been actively involved
in his local Lakeland community, serving as a past president
of; Lakeland YMCA, Lakeland Regional Medical Center
Foundation, Santa Fe Catholic High School Board, Lakeland
Downtown Kiwanis, Learning Resource Center, Trustee Lakeland
YMCA and Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and the
Lakeland Jaycees, and a past voting member of the Industrial
Development Authority.
David J. Houston is the Chief
Lending Officer and Executive Vice President of the bank.
Mr. Houston has over 25 years of banking experience
specializing in Commercial Lending. He has served as
Senior Vice President Commercial Team Leader for SunTrust
Bank in Lakeland. His most recent community bank
experience was as Commercial Banking Manager for
FloridaFirst Bank, a Lakeland-based banking organization.
His education includes a BSBA from the University of Florida
and a banking degree from the Graduate School of Banking of
the South at Louisiana State University. Mr. Houston
has served the community as President and Board member of
the Citrus Center Kiwanis Club and Learning Resource Center.
Richard G. Jones is a Certified Public Accountant and a
shareholder of the firm Hamic, Jones, Hamic & Sturwold, P.A., where he has been
since 1977. Mr. Jones received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South
Florida in 1977.
Gasper Kovach, Jr. is the Chief Executive Office of HESCO,
located in Waverly, Florida, where he has been employed since 1976. Mr. Kovach
received his undergraduate degree from Lake Forest College (Ill.) and his
Masters in Business Administration from Dartmouth College.
John S. Langford is President and owner of John Langford, Inc., a
citrus management, caretaking and harvesting operation in Alturas, Florida which
he has operated since 1978. Mr. Langford received an A.A. from Emory University
in 1971 and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1974.
Michael V. Nichols is Vice President and owner of Global Produce
Sales, in Lakeland, Florida where he has been engaged since April 2004. Mr.
Nicholas was Vice President of PTG Management, a Mulberry Florida produce
supplier from March 1999 to March 2004. He received a B.S from Arkansas State
University in 1975.
Michael S. Wells is the President and a Principal of Wells
Financial Inc, a Lakeland financial planning,
business consulting, and
accounting firm where he has been engaged since 1996. Prior
to that he was the V.P. of Finance for Dobbs Publishing
Group, Inc., a publisher of specialty automotive magazines,
was the Senior Audit Manager for a large local CPA firm
where he audited banks, and has worked in government
finance. His licenses and certifications include the
following: Certified Public Account (CPA), Certified
Business Appraiser (CBA), Securities Rep. (Series
7), Securities Principal (Series 24), Investment Advisor
Rep. (Series 65), Uniform Securities Agent (Series 63), and
a Florida 218 Life, Health & Annuities License. Mr. Wells
received his B.S. in marketing from the University of
Florida in 1980, graduated from Lakeland High School in
1976, and is a life-time resident of Lakeland.
Lee A. Wroten, Sr. is the President and
co-owner of Global Produce Sales, a Lakeland produce sales
firm. Mr. Wroten moved to Lakeland in 1966. He
graduated from Lakeland High School and received his
Associate of Arts Degree from Polk Community College.
He then attended West Georgia College and graduated with a
degree in Business Administration. Al and his father
started L. A. Wroten Company in 1982 specializing in citrus
and watermelon sales. After his father's retierment in
2000, the company name was changed to Global Produce Sales.
David E. Zuern is the Past President
and CEO of Waypoint Financial Corp. (Waypoint Bank) in Harrisburg, PA, which he
joined in 2000. During his tenure he developed and led a strategic business plan
to transition Waypoint (created through the merger of two conservative Central
Pennsylvania thrifts) into a modern commercial banking franchise. This
successful effort was accomplished in under four years when Sovereign Bank, in
March of 2004, announced its acquisition of Waypoint for $980 million. Prior to
joining Waypoint, Zuern served as Secretary of Banking for the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania from May 1999 to September 2000. In this position, Zuern presided
over a dynamic banking environment in Pennsylvania which included a record
number of de novo bank charters. He also served as President and CEO of PNC
Bank, Northwest PA until he retired in March 1998. In July 2005, Zuern completed
his term as Chairman of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA), the largest
trade association representing the banking industry in the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania and is currently serving on the Board as Immediate Past President.
